Painting started as a way to clear my head. It quickly became something more.

I create abstract, layered work built through instinct rather than planning. There’s no sketch pinned to the wall, no predetermined destination. I start, respond to what’s in front of me, change direction when something isn’t working, and keep going until it feels right. Texture and line tend to lead the way, each piece finding its own balance between calm and chaos, stillness and movement.

I’m not chasing perfection. I’m interested in honesty.

That means the marks that stay matter, but so do the ones that get covered. The scraping back, the repainting, the unexpected moments that arrive without invitation, those are just as much a part of the work as the finished surface. Sometimes the most interesting thing in a painting is what’s buried underneath it.

Every piece is part of an ongoing process. No formulas, no predetermined style to maintain. Just the question of what emerges when you keep showing up and stay open to where it leads.

My hope is that each painting connects in its own way, that somewhere, someone sees it and feels something they didn’t expect to feel. That it finds a home with the right person, for reasons neither of us could quite explain.
